Whether advising her customers on Medicare solutions or volunteering in the community, Kristine Gurley and her staff are in the business of helping people.

Gurley & Associates has been recognized as one of the state’s top Medicare insurance agencies. They were named the top Blue Cross/Blue Shield agency for 2024, and three of its agents were named among the top Blue Cross/Blue Shield agents in the country: Kristine Gurley (President’s Club), Keragon Niolet (Blue Diamond Club), and Michelle Betz (Gold Club). In addition, Gurley & Associates is the top agency in the state for Devoted Health Plans, and Ms. Gurley is the top agent in the state for Devoted. 
The best part, Gurley says, is knowing that she makes a difference in the lives of her clients. “We are Medicare health specialists, and we want to be trusted advisors. Our motto is, ‘We make Medicare easy.’ We’re there for the whole Medicare process. “While Medicare is our primary focus,” Gurley noted, “we offer individual health insurance, dental coverage, vision, mortgage protection, and life insurance as well.” But the agency’s connection with its clientele goes well beyond insurance. Gurley has turned her office into a social hub for seniors as well as an information source through their “603 Prime Timers” club. The club meets every Wednesday at 10:00 am for coffee and casual socializing, and an activity usually follows, such as bingo or trivia. On Fridays at 10:00 am, the group is treated to a guest speaker and another fun activity. 
A monthly lunch is also provided every fourth Thursday at 11:30am. RSVPs are recommended but not required for these events; call (228) 344-3126 to reserve. Originally from Alton, Illinois, Ms. Gurley attended Lewis & Clark Community College before moving to Diamondhead. She decided to pursue a career in the insurance field in 2004 because “a flexible schedule allowed me time to be a mom. Insurance gave me that freedom.” 
Just as important to Gurley as her work with seniors is her work with the community. Gurley & Associates has sponsored Hope Haven Children’s Advocacy Center, collected clothing and personal care products for Crusaders for Veterans, and sponsored the VFW Post 4808 Van for Veterans. Kristine also formerly served as an ambassador with both the Picayune and the Hancock Chambers of Commerce, reinforcing her commitment to our business community. If you have attended any of Bay St. Louis’s recent outdoor events, you may have seen Kristine and her staff working a Medicare Information booth. This year, Gurley & Associates took their show on the road to Cruisin’ the Coast, Wednesdays at the Depot, and Labor Day at the Lighthouse. They also sponsored events for Hancock and Pearl River Counties and act as a sponsor/patron for Ryan Foret & Foret Tradition.
