(See list above for useful items)
We of course have also rebuilt many homes, but for this in Texas it would be one trip for now, with the goal of gutting as many homes as we could in several days to one week.
This is VERY early in the possess after such a large storm, a great deal of planning and logistics will be involved including finding a partner on the ground, which we have just accomplished.
So if you have any interest in being part of a Giving Circle team to make the trip to Texas please feel free to contact me, this includes friends from anywhere in the US, all are welcome.
As you all know we were born out of Katrina first with our Operation: A Cajun Christmas http://www.cajunchristmas.org/index.htm then on to 10 years of rebuilding work in the Waveland area of Mississippi.
We have also responded to other storms and floods, Sandy in Staten Island, Western NY and Schoharie and have become experts gutting flooded homes, and rebuilding.
Check out their website or find them on Facebook.
Items needed are non-perishable food items, personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies and bug and mosquito repellant. Thanks in advance for any help or donations you can provide.
