It’s the best time of the year, and everyone is looking for a little bit of magic. Santa is making his way around town so all the boys and girls can tell him their Christmas wishes. Santa has a packed schedule, but have no fear, the list is here! ​ Christmas in the Pass is Friday, December 5. Festivities kick off at 4 pm, and the parade rolls at 6 pm. The Driftwood Hotel is launching Campfire Cinema, with Christmas-themed movies every Friday in December. This family-friendly event is open to locals and visitors alike, with a special STAYCOZY package for overnight guests. Campfire seating and free hot chocolate make this the perfect holiday-themed family night. Screenings begin at 6:30 pm. The lineup includes Elf, Home Alone, The Santa Clause, and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. Support the Friends of the Animal Shelter by joining the Holiday Tour of Homes, featuring historic homes in Bay St. Louis. The tour will be held Saturday, December 6 from 1 to 4 pm. Tickets are $20 and limited! Call to reserve your tickets: 228-363-1359. Also this Saturday, December 6, the Hancock County Library System will host its 31st annual Tree Gala from 5 to 7 pm at the Bay St. Louis Branch. There will be over 150 decorated Christmas trees across all five library branches! This event is ticketed, with a recommended donation of $25 per ticket. All proceeds benefit the Library Foundation. ​ The Hancock County Library System will host Santa at each branch as follows:
For $20, you can grab family photos with Santa at Second Street Elementary (400 N. Second Street, BSL). These 15-minute mini-sessions will be held from 12 to 4 pm on December 7 and 21. Don’t forget your camera! ​ Join local artists for the 12th annual Walk in the Woods Holiday Art Sale, happening December 6 and 7 from 10 am to 4 pm at La Terre Art Studio, 22591 Rue La Terre, Kiln. Enjoy beautiful scenery while shopping for the perfect handmade gift for your loved ones. Live music and light refreshments will be available. ​ 100 Men Hall will host Last Minute at the Hall Y’all on Thursday, December 11 from 5 to 8 pm. It’s the perfect opportunity to grab those last-minute, handmade gifts! Join the City of Waveland on Coleman Avenue for the Annual Waveland Christmas Parade on Friday, December 12. There’s no entry fee, and the parade rolls at 6 pm. ​ M.A.P. Children's Theatre will host their holiday production Scrooge’s Christmas on December 12 and 13 at 7 pm and December 14 at 1:30 pm at Main Street United Methodist Church. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online HERE. The Mockingbird Café will host Santa on Saturday, December 20 from 11 am to 2 pm.
