CaféBoneJour Pet Boutique and Barkery
146 Blaize Avenue
Bay St. Louis

(228) 364-2685

Located in the Depot District of Old Town Bay St. Louis at 146 Blaize Avenue resides the one and only Café BoneJour.

This locally owned and operated pet boutique and bakery is stocked with just about anything you could possibly need for your furry BFF, from toys for dogs of all breeds, a luscious grooming section, expansive Biscuit Bar and Chew Bar, wide variety of adorable collars, leashes, harnesses, bandanas and clothing, a fantastic selection of healthy dog food options, and many other specialty and unique products.

“I take pride in sourcing the very best natural pet foods for dogs and cats, gourmet pet treats, toys, collars and gifts for pet lovers,“ said owner and dog mom, Roxanne DeNicola.

Café BoneJour has an impressive lineup of amazing, all-natural brands of pet food for dogs and cats (but mostly dogs) including Primal, Nulo, Fromm, Stella & Chewy’s, Nature’s Variety, Nutri Source, and others that offer a variety of food selection such as RAW, high quality kibble, or gently cooked diet.

Café BoneJour has an in-house pet bakery that produces super cute, 100% organic gourmet treats that are made with only the best all-natural, human-grade ingredients.

This pet paradise also recently added soft-serve doggie froyo to their pawsome treat menu, just in time for this Mississippi summer heat! Their sof-serve doggie froyo is available in a variety of flavors and is all-natural, grain-free, and made with lactose-free whole milk or goat’s milk.

Your pup even has the option of adding toppings to their chilly treat such as sprinkles, freeze-dried raw, and fresh dog-friendly cookies.

If you’re looking for more social events for you and your pup, Café BoneJour has y’all covered! Every second Friday of the month Café BoneJour hosts a Yappy Hour from 4-7 pm.

During this event they provide free dog beer, free human beer sponsored by The Lazy Magnolia brewery, music, and exciting special guests. Café BoneJour also donates a portion of their store sales from the Yappy Hour event to CASA to benefit Remi, Mississippi’s only Courthouse Facility Dog.

Their next Yappy Hour will be on June 10th, when they will be featuring special guest dog trainer Will from Woofred’s Dog Training.

This Second Saturday, June 11, Café BoneJour will be celebrating their One-year Anniversary Pawty and they have lots of (human and dog friendly) “treats” for those who stop by.

To kick off their Pawty, Café BoneJour will be giving out goodie treat bags to the first 25 lucky dogs that visit the shop on Second Saturday. The pet boutique and bakery will also be offering free entries to their Gift Basket Giveaway (valued at $200) with any in-store purchase made that day.

From 4-7 pm, there will be live music performed by Coastal Gentlemen along with cookie cake, lemonade, and other refreshments.

The Buttercup on Second Street
112 N. Second Street
Bay St. Louis
(228) 466-4930

Picture

Complete with welcoming vibes and great grub, The Buttercup on Second Street is a favorite of locals, a must-stop for visitors, and a staple of Old Town Bay St. Louis.

With its location in the heart of Old Town and outdoor seating area, The Buttercup lives up to its reputation of being "the picture perfect sidewalk café."

The late Jamie Temple founded The Buttercup shortly after Hurricane Katrina and opened in the spring of 2006.

Temple stated in a previous interview, “I wanted to create a place that was affordable and fresh and happy.”

The café, serving both breakfast and lunch, became an instant hit. It became obvious that Temple’s vision was a success.

Jamie could be found helping around the restaurant and joking with guests on most days up until two years ago, when he asked his niece Tiffany Wiensch to step in and run the show. “This place is special to a lot of people, and I want to keep that going, that’s for sure,” said current owner, Wiensch.

The Buttercup has been described as a “cheerful full-menu restaurant,” and upon entering this charming café, you will find that to be completely accurate. Inside, you’ll find comical signs, colorful flowers and funky décor, all of which contribute to its upbeat and joyful ambiance.

Picture

As for their menu, The Buttercup serves mouth-watering, homemade meals, which includes all-day breakfast and lunch and freshly made bakery treats.

When asked about fan favorites on the menu, Wiensch replied that the Cajun Benedict and the Eggs Bay St. Louis are some of the top picks. Tiffany also noted that they have recently added some healthier options to Buttercup’s lineup, and that she has plans to incorporate more healthy options in the near future.

To celebrate their June Second Saturday HotSpot status, The Buttercup will have live music and refreshments out on their patio from 4-7 pm. They will also be whipping up some delicious pulled pork sandwiches and freshly baked goodies for their Saturday evening visitors.

Gulf Coast Home
317 Ulman Avenue
Bay St. Louis

(228) 344-3146

Just a few blocks from Main Street in Old Town, you will find the opulent Gulf Coast Home on Ulman Avenue.

In the fall of 2020, sisters and Bay Saint Louis natives Wendy DeBen and Theresa Lacy made the move from their professional fields in New Orleans to come back home to set up their very own Gulf Coast Home.

As soon as you walk into Gulf Coast Home you are embraced by the shop’s gorgeous aesthetic.  Wendy and Theresa’s exquisite taste is easily seen throughout their selection of well curated
products from high end furniture and beautiful loungewear to unique home decor and local artwork.

Gulf Coast Home has a large retail space that is elegantly divided into various household floor plans showcasing their expansive furniture and statement pieces. No matter what you may be
looking for, their extremely friendly staff and owners are more than willing to help.

And if you’re lucky, you may get the expert assistance from Karen, their fluffy Pomeranian shop dog that can be found there most days.

25% off all clothing, and even more surprise specials throughout the store.

Starting at 4pm, Gulf Coast Home will be hosting featured artist Mary Caroline Spano for a huge jewelry designer trunk show along with live music by Hollys Dads Band.  They'll also be serving refreshments from 4pm to 7pm.
