Over the past 29 years, the monthly art walk has become one of the most popular events in the region. Old Town stays lively all day, with many merchants and restaurants offering specials. 

​The pace picks up from 4–7 pm, when gallery openings and live music keep the streets humming with activity. ​

May's Second Saturday Hot Spots are Bodega Spirits & Liquor, 111 Court Street; PJ’s on the Bay, 207 Main Street; and Social Chair, 201 Main Street.

Their vast inventory is neatly displayed throughout the shop making it effortless to locate your bottle of choice. Having a tough time deciding? No need to worry, Bodega Spirits & Liquor’s skilled staff is eager to lead you in the right direction.

Bodega Spirits and Liquor will be hosting a free wine tasting event in celebration of their Second Saturday Hot Spot beginning at 4pm. They will be providing samples of their Tattoo Girl Rosé along with free henna tattoos. The event will be held in the Parrot Head Bar, located next door in the same building as Bodega Spirits & Liquor.

Lee Bosarge will be playing live music outside in front of Bodega Spirits and Liquor and Parrothead Bar from 4-7pm this Second Saturday, May 14th. You’ll want to be sure to stop Bodega Spirits & Liquor’s convenient location in Old Town this Second Saturday and enjoy some music while you get tatted up, rosé and henna style.

Hours: Monday-Wednesday noon – 8 pm, Thursday-Saturday noon – 9 pm

Whether you are on the go, looking to leisurely enjoy some fresh coffee, or need catering for your next corporate meeting, this New Orleans coffee franchise has you covered. From flavored coffees to smoothies, or freshly baked pastries to lunch sandwiches - PJ’s on the Bay truly has a little something for everyone to enjoy.

Upon approaching PJ’s, you will notice that they have a lovely, pet-friendly outdoor space for guests that includes a patio and courtyard. You’ll also see that their location is equipped with the only drive-thru in Old Town Bay St. Louis, making them a popular option for those in a hurry.

The interior of PJ’s is quite spacious and luxurious. Spanning across a variety of open rooms, each space offers a different “vibe” and different furnishings, from large leather chairs for lounging or catching up with friends to tabletops for studying or chowing down on beignets. PJ’s provides options to make everyone feel right at home.

To celebrate their Hot Spot status, PJ’s on the Bay is hosting a variety of specials starting at 4 pm. Outside on their pup-friendly porch and courtyard, they will be treating fluffy visitors to “pup cups” samples and biscuits. For the humans, PJ’s will be serving cake balls and velvet ice samples from their recently released Southern Wedding Cake seasonal collection.

PJ’s will also be hosting a gift card giveaway this Second Saturday. Receive your entry for the giveaway with any in-store purchase made 4 pm - 7 pm on May 14 (excluding drive-thru purchases).

There will be live music to enjoy out on PJ’s patio 4 pm - 7 pm. So be sure to swing by PJ’s on the Bay this Second Saturday with your furry companions to enjoy some delicious treats, live music, and experience everything PJ’s brings to the Bay.

This Second Saturday, May 14th, Social Chair will be celebrating its Sweet Sixteen – 16 years in Old Town Bay St. Louis. It is also a Hot Spot for May! Shimmy Mob will be performing two dances in front of the shop at 3:45, followed by live music by Kelsey Moran from 4 to 6. Owner Yuki Northington will also have a new batch of encaustic mixed medias on wood displayed for May’s Second Saturday art walk.
