The winter temps may be keeping us at the dock, but I assure you, we are not idle! This is the ideal time for needed maintenance and upgrades.

We have not been out much this week due to the freezing temperatures. Instead, we are catching up on some maintenance.

Puppy drum should be thick in this colder weather.

This is the best time of year to get work done on your boat. Spring will be here before you know it, and it happens every single year: that first pretty day in late March or April, all of the repair shops will be completely slammed. We are taking the down time seriously and getting our boat trailers, trolling motors, electronics, and engines serviced.

Nearshore reefs are full of action.

When the freezing temperatures and the chilly winds let up, I can assure you we will be deep in the marsh chasing redfish in the shallow ponds. The near-shore reefs should also be at their best for sheepshead and puppy drum. If you are fortunate enough to find some live shrimp or fresh dead shrimp, I would recommend getting it.

Speckled trout should be holding deep in the colder weather.
