Winds kept the boats close to shore this week, but that doesn't mean they didn't catch fish!
- by Sonny Schindler, Shore Thing Fishing Charters The majority of what we have been seeing is sheepshead, redfish and plenty of black drum. Those tasty smaller puppy drum have been the best thing going. Mixed in with all this has been the gigantic black drum. For our visiting guests, these 30- to 40-pound brutes have been met with rave reviews. On light tackle, these are an unbelievable fight. Hopefully this week’s cold snap will be the last of the season. We hope the warm weather is coming to stay. The live bait has still been tough to get, but things should be getting better in the coming weeks. Enjoy this feature?
