Winners of the Shoofly Art Contest

As part of our Shoofly Awareness Campaign, in July we announced an art contest with a fantastic first prize, thanks to sponsor Janice Guido at Bay Life Gifts (111 Main Street).  The judge was Malcolm White, director of the Mississippi Arts Commission and part-time resident of Bay St. Louis.  During the month of September, the top ten pieces are being shown and offered for sale at Bay Life Gifts (111 Main Street, Bay St. Louis).

On Second Saturday, September 10th, we announced the first, second, and third place winners, plus a special Judge's choice.  First Place winner.  First place winner, Vicki Niolet, won:

•  A night for two at the legendary Hotel Monteleone in the New Orleans French Quarter 
• Breakfast for two at “Criollo,” in the Hotel Monteleone
•  A $200 gift certificate from the contest sponsor, Bay Life Gifts & Gallery
• Ribbon, created by Martha Whitney Butler​

The other three winners received ribbons created by Martha Whitney Butler.  All finalists will take a turn on the home page slide show of the Shoofly Magazine!
