When you start mixing pets and costumes, you understand how patient dogs are - and how goofy their human companions can be.  This inaugural event should be a hoot if it's anything like the famed Barkus one in New Orleans.  Better yet, proceeds go to Gulf Coast animal shelters.

Opening of "Surrender,"
a collaborative art show

Smith & Lens Gallery
106 South Second Street
Bay St. Louis
6pm - 9pm

Artistic dynamos Ann Madden and Sandy Maggio are kicking off the opening of their new gallery Smith and Lens with an innovative collaborative show.

"Artists will bring a piece of their art ready for the touch from someone else's hand to the gallery January 9th. They'll take a piece of someone else's art home, complete it, prepare it to hang in the show and voila, "Surrender" is born."  The work that comes out of the exchange - and the opening - should be lots of fun!
