Labor Day weekend 2023 was a celebration at 100 Men Hall honoring the memory of musician James Booker, who spent much of his childhood in Bay St. Louis. Live performances honored his legacy, including a gospel choir, a piano trio, spoken word performances, and the world-renowned blues artist and two-time IBC finalist Lucious Spiller. The weekend-long celebration ended with a drag brunch, befitting a celebration of this flamboyant, talented, and complex musician.
