December fog can be treacherous. But on clear days, the fishing is absolutely tremendous.

We have had an unbelievable week of fishing. Everything has been holding fish. The nearshore reefs, the Bay, the Biloxi Marsh, even offshore!!!

It’s hard to believe, but red snapper season is still open!

Like any fishing, it revolves around the weather, but you really have to be careful heading offshore in December. On these warmer days, the fog is worse than anything. If you don’t have radar, it’s best to wait for the fog to break, or pick another day.

Our redfish have begun moving in big time. The water out front has been clear and salty. The sheepshead are still around as well. We are hearing reports of trout in the rivers, but these warmer days might make that bite a little tricky. It always seems the colder the water, the better the river fishing. I’m sure it will turn cold sooner or later.
