Redfish will be able to tolerate the current drop in salinity.

I will be honest, I don’t think we have been on the water since the last fishing report. It has either been raining, or the wind has been blowing, or both. The majority of our boats have been laid up for maintenance and repairs the last couple of days.

It also looks like the salinity is dropping a little bit after the big rains last week. That’s the bad news.
 
The good news is, it looks like we have a couple of days of very nice weather before the next front hits. Other than a little morning fog, the winds look light, and the temperatures look very pleasant.
 

Sheepshead should be thick in the coming weeks.

 
A big thing to do after so much time off is to move and keep moving. What worked a week or two ago will not work this week. With the changing salinity and likely murky water, you will almost certainly have to find your fish again. Definitely running south or east would probably be a safe play. Hopefully we don’t get the torrential downpours for a while, and the salinity should climb right back up.
