The calendar may say winter, but anglers are returning to the docks with spring fever!

Bull red bonuses for two lucky anglers fishing with Capt. Keith Crawford out of Shaggy’s charter dock in Pass Christian, MS.

Our guides report it’s been steady the last couple of trips. The game plan has also been the same. If the weather is calm, the boats are going long to fish in the Louisiana Marsh. Even though we are technically in the middle of winter, we are beginning to see decent numbers of speckled trout. 

This Fishing Report

Griffin Smith and Payton Lee both from Smith's Lawn Care Service with a “handful of fun” fishing with Capt. Bryan Raymond, Jr. out of Bayou Caddy.

​The bull reds are also making a good showing among the school trout.
 
On windy days, the nearshore reefs still produce good numbers of sheepshead, puppy drum, and redfish.

If the temperatures and salinity remain stable in the coming weeks, the spring fishing has the potential to be incredible.
