All signs point to a fantastic spring fishing season, when the winds and weather don't interfere with the action.

The April winds and showers have been our biggest hurdle the last few days. Our boats have been able to stretch out a little further on the good weather days.
 
The speckled trout bite just gets better and better. The Louisiana Marsh has had decent numbers of trout. The steady supply of live shrimp has helped greatly.

Captain Matt saw several tripletails a few days ago! Hopefully we get a big year on those tasty, hard-fighting critters.
 

 
The big drum have been thick on the nearshore bite. That has been a real treat on light tackle. The bridges and reefs have been loaded with these big brutes. Live or dead shrimp near the structures has been the ticket.

Things are getting right, and it’s looking like a good spring bite is on its way. You just have to watch the storms and winds.
