An astonishing pop-up art show at the Bay St. Louis Shoofly features the works of 450 Waveland Elementary School students! Details: Saturday, March 11th from 1 - 4pm, next to the historic Bay St. Louis City Hall, 300 S. Second Street.
A total of 500 original pieces of art will be hung from clotheslines around the Bay St. Louis Shoofly on Saturday, March 11th, from 1 - 4pm. The Shoofly is located next to the historic City Hall, 300 South Second Street, BSL.
Waveland Elementary School art teacher Dale Pohl has organized this astonishing show of students' work. Each of the 450 children who attend the school have at least one piece in the outdoor show - and some have two.
Pohl says that this year, the students have celebrated life on the Gulf Coast.
"They've learned about our environment and our art," says Pohl. "We've studied everything from shrimping to the artwork of Walter Anderson in Ocean Spring."
