Clydesdales Hoofing It Again Through Bay

The famous Budweiser  horses drew big crowds of fans last year in Bay St. Louis - now they're returning on January 31st at 6pm for a repeat ride through the city.

The iconic team of Budweiser Clydesdales will return to parade through Bay St. Louis streets January 31, at 6pm. Their appearance last year drew huge crowds, some of the biggest to turn out to see the famous draft horses pulling the red fire wagon. Andxpect their spotted Dalmatian mascot to be along for the ride.
 
“The Bay St. Louis crowd was great last year,” said James Hargrove, Gulfport sales manager of Mitchell Distributing which is sponsoring the visit. “It was one of the best crowds, if not the best, on the entire coast. People really came out to see them.”
 
The horses will again be based at the Harrison County Fairgrounds during their Coast visit. They will also parade in Biloxi, Gulfport and Ocean Springs over four days.

The Bay St. Louis parade route will be the same as last year, starting and ending at the Depot.

Fans can catch the parade at the beginning and on Union Street, then Second Street to DeMontluzin where it will turn west to Beach Boulevard and right on Court Street before returning to the Depot grounds.

The parade last year included marching bands and the same is expected this year though details haven’t been worked out yet.
 
Anheuser-Busch introduced their Budweiser Clydesdales in 1933 and their fame and following have grown ever since. The horses star in Budweiser commercials and keep a full schedule of appearances throughout the year including such major events as the Rose Parade and a couple of presidential inaugurations.
