Folks of all ages and sizes can look and feel “fly” in the latest fashions at the fifth location of this popular boutique in the Bay St. Louis Depot District.

Are you looking for a chic dress for the fall formal? Perhaps you need to find a great gift for the fisherman in your family? Or maybe a hip, new Consuela tote to show off at school? All of these items and other trending clothes, shoes and accessories can now be found at Fly Boutique’s new Bay St. Louis location.
 

 With its headquarters in Picayune, two locations in Gulfport and one in Hattiesburg, the Bay location is the fifth for the Mississippi boutique brand.

​Located in the historic Depot Row at 142 Blaize Avenue, Suite A, it fits right in with the recent and elegant updating of historic Depot Row by local developer Jim MacPhaille. While Fly opened its doors in June of this year, the community helped celebrate on September 1 with a proper ribbon-cutting.

The story of Fly Boutique began in 2005 when entrepreneur Tessie Putnam partnered in a small children’s boutique. As her two daughters grew into young ladies, Putnam decided to sell the children’s clothing store. However, her passion for fashion and love of the shop’s clientele inspired her to launch her first adult clothing store in 2010. Fly Boutique took flight and soared. A dozen years and four locations later, Putnam’s vision has burgeoned into a family-run franchise spanning the greater Gulf region of Mississippi.

Putnam and her family travel across the country in search of “quality clothing lines that will make our customers feel stylish and beautiful,” said Putnam. This allows Fly Boutique to offer a wide variety of styles and sizes for all age groups, while also assuring the latest quality trends at an affordable price. ​The boutique also hosts live selling events on Facebook and Instagram, where their models feature the latest trends while describing fits and details to help shoppers make informed online purchases. As an extra stroke of genius, Fly Boutique features their very own app, a free perk to notify shoppers of all the latest and greatest collections available at their stores.

With football season in high gear, the Fly’s game day collections are currently front and center offerings. Shoppers will find sparkling sequin jersey dresses, spirited beaded straps touting their teams and gold football tees.

For those whose style is more casual, the boutique also offers a wide array of athleisure, with everything from skorts and jumpers to bike shorts and tennis dresses. Though the game day collection is geared toward college students, Fly Boutique’s selections are extensive and offer clothing and accessories for almost any occasion.
 
With the boutique’s latest expansion into Bay St. Louis, Putnam says her team will be catering to local events in the Bay community and beyond.
