On select days in December, you can take a Creepy Christmas tour and hear disturbing legends and ghost stories of Christmas past.  The hour long ride up Bayou Caddy includes hot chocolate and a cookie.  "Come if you dare!"  Book here.

If you get a thrill out of being spooked, there’s a unique new venue available here in Hancock County. ​
 
Mystic Ghost Ride Boat Tours launch from Bordages Marina on Bayou Caddy in a 24-foot Coast Guard-compliant pontoon vessel that seats six. Depending on the tides and water conditions, the route may run along the shoreline to the Pearl River and back, or up Bayou Caddy.
 
The schedule changes up seasonally.  For instance, during December, the Creepy Christmas tours can be booked at four different times in the weeekend, from 5pm - 9pm.  Each tour lasts approximately one hour.

Mystic Ghost Ride Boat Tours’ owner, Jenny Johnston, will narrate the tours, sharing the colorful history of Bayou Caddy and spooky local tales about the curse of the old oak tree, the graves of the bayou, the Sock Hop Girl and more.

​Jenny is a retired teacher from Georgia who has wanted to start an ecotour boat venture for about ten years.

“I did marina searches and a lot of legwork, looking in the Gulf Coast area,” she said. Once she got to Hancock County, she discovered Bordages Marina and launched her dream. Jenny already has plans to add more seasonal tours starting at Christmas.
 
“Then we will start 2021 with Voodoo Valentine tours. I intend this to be a year-round business,” she said.

Mystic Ghost Ride Boat Tours guests must wear a mask and arrive 20 to 30 minutes early at the gate to Bordages Marina. Beer, wine and soft drinks can be purchased aboard with cash or a credit card after departure from the dock.
 
Tickets start at $59 and can be purchased online at http://www.mysticghostrides.com. Tours must be booked before 4 pm the day of the tour.
