The Hancock County Port and Harbor Commission welcomed new CEO Bill Cork to the job on Monday, May 2.
Cork has an impressive career in economic development, including federal service throughout the 1990s when he worked on redeveloping Army bases that were transformed into industrial parks. Cork’s 30-year career began in the United States Marine Corps. After his service, he earned a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts and Sciences and a Master of Urban Planning Degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His graduate degree emphasis was in economic development and fiscal packaging. His private sector career includes operating his own residential and commercial real estate sales and marketing company, and consulting biofuels and military base redevelopment clients nationally. Cork has been married for 31 years to Nina (Lange) Cork, an award winning artist and art educator. They have four adult children. The couple plans to settle in Bay St. Louis. Comments are closed.
