Good news for fans of Uncle Joe’s Pizza and Wings, the popular restaurant in Diamondhead. Work on the second location on Blaize Avenue across from the Depot is picking up steam, with the goal of opening by the end of summer.
“We want to open as soon as possible,” said Madison Goodgame, the creative director for Uncle Joe’s. |

Uncle Joe’s in the Bay will start out with the same menu as the Diamondhead flagship but Goodgame said, “We might be adding specials and slight changes here and there.”
Uncle Joe’s serves New York-style pizzas with the traditional thin crust and also cauliflower crust for those who want less carbs. There’s an entire menu with specialty toppings or you can build your own with toppings ranging from anchovies and artichokes to pepperoni and pineapples.
Joe’s specialty pizzas include The Kitchen Sink with eight toppings, The Victory Garden for the veggie fans and The Carnivore for meaty pizza lovers. Others showcase chicken, extra cheese, fajita, and Mexican flavors. Dessert pizzas come in apple pie and Oreo versions.
The meaty chicken wings are fresh and never frozen and come dressed in 23 amazing sauces made daily in house. There’s the traditional wing sauce, a scorching hot version and one – the Nuclear Meltdown – that requires the customer to sign a waiver! Some unique flavors that are waiver-free include mango habanero, Thai chili, Asian, and wasabi ranch.
The menu also includes munchies like jalapeño poppers, onion rings, boneless chicken bites, fries, subs, and salads.
The new restaurant will also have a family-friendly atmosphere like Diamondhead’s restaurant, where the servers call the regulars by name.
“We love our family of customers, they keep us going,” Goodgame said.
Fans of the restaurant may not know it, but there is a real Uncle Joe who moved here from New York a couple of years ago to be near his family.
Diamond has wanted to expand the Uncle Joe’s brand for a while, Goodgame said, and when she saw the Depot location’s exposed brick walls, she jumped at the chance to get it. The space, which sat empty for about five years, is being transformed with an industrial look. It will serve lunch and dinner and have a full bar. Hours will be 11 am to 10 pm.
If you can’t wait to try Uncle Joe’s in Bay St. Louis, visit the Diamondhead location at 16829 Kapalama Drive, or call to the store at (228) 586-6076.
