The first of the Hancock County Mardi Gras Parades, this year, Pupseidon rolled through Diamondhead on January 13th. Proceeds raised by this parade help fund Gulf Coast animal shelters. The 2018 royal court was presided over by King Zippy, Queen Hope and Duke Rusty.

This krewe always throws a perfect Fat Tuesday parade and 2017 was their 10th anniversary. Known as the only predominantly African American parade on the Gulf Coast on Mardi Gras, it gets everyone out and celebrating the big day.

The Krewe of Nereids celebrated its 50th birthday on Sunday, February 19, 2017, parading with glorious weather through tens of thousands of well-wishers in Bay St. Louis and Waveland, on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
