On July 28th, residents and business owners had the opportunity to meet the Bay's new police chief, Daren Freeman and some of the officers who keep the peace in Bay St. Louis at this monthly event, in July at the Starfish Café on Main Street.

More than 100 patrons and friends of the Waveland Ground Zero Museum celebrated Earnest Hemingway’s 118th birthday with this new benefit, Hemfest in Havana. The event was hosted by the Hancock Chamber and Rum Kitchen, owned by Starr and John "Chappy" Chapman.

Zowee! This Comic Con in Bay St. Louis was an expanded version of the first one that was held last summer. Dozens of folks showed up to enjoy contests, gaming, door prizes, panels, and an artist's alley.

The was the fourth annual poker run benefiting CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), the Hancock County organization that helps countless kids when they need support the most. Supporters returned to the harbor at the end of the run for a silent auction, DJ Rod Morris, and a summer-themed auction.
The 33rd annual Crab Fest opened on Friday, June 30th and ran through Sunday, July 2nd, featuring a stellar live music line-up, carnival rides, and the food its become legendary for - including crabs, of course (did you manage to get a stuffed Crab Potato before they ran out?).

The eight elected officials for the city of Bay St. Louis were sworn into office in a public ceremony on Friday, June 30th, before a full house at the Community Hall. More info below.
