Three big events brought good cheer to Old Town on Saturday, and two of them raised money for great causes.

The day started with the Mystic Krewe of the Seahorse’s “Seahorse Open” miniature golf tourney, and part of the proceeds from the event will support Brenda’s House, an organization which works with Child Protective Services to monitor supervised visits, providing a safe environment for children.
 
Next, the Rotary Club of Bay St Louis sponsored a Battle of the Bands at Dan B’s. The Assumed Risk Band started things off, followed by the Dave Mayley Band.

The Electric Sheep Band closed out the event, and the winner was determined by the donations made during each set. And the winners are… the tireless Covid medical staff of Ochsner Hancock, who will receive gifts of appreciation from the proceeds of the event. The Electric Sheep were the big fundraisers of the afternoon.
 
The third event of this September trifecta was our monthly Second Saturday Art Walk. With fantastic weather and all these events, it was a great day in BSL!
