This community garden on Court Street is built on the slab of Ruth's Cakery - an iconic community business owned by Ruth and Jim Thompson pre-Katrina. In April, Ruth's Roots (now a non-profit geared to working with local youths) sponsored a contest for local artists to paint murals on the slab. During the Second Saturday Artwalk on May 12, the winners of the contest were chosen.
