The 100 Men Hall celebrated Day of the Dead (All Souls Day) on November 2 with 20 altars honoring the souls of all good who have passed away, along with music by a mariachi band, a DJ and tamales.
Unlike Halloween, Day of the Dead is not meant to be a sad or frightening holiday, but an uplifting time to remember loved ones or others who have died. Day of the Dead is a sacred day, when people celebrate the memory and the souls of those departed. - photos by Brenda Comer |
