Like a karmic slap in the face, Hurricane Ida roared through south Mississippi and Louisiana on the 16th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. The Mississippi Gulf Coast was largely spared from the wrath of Hurricane Ida, which veered slightly west of its predicted path.
​But what is great for Mississippi was absolutely devastating for our neighbors in Louisiana. Severe flooding, catastrophic wind damage, and lack of electricity and water have made the region unlivable – and largely unreachable. |
