Members of the Mystic Krewe of The Seahorse pose at the new historic marker honoring Carter Church.
A large crowd gathered for the dedication of the historical marker honoring legendary Mardi Gras fashion designer Carter Church and his partner and husband, artist Yancy Pogue. Warm tributes were shared by people whose lives were touched by the team, including queens of local krewes who had the unique experience of having a fabulous dress designed by Church. The unveiling of the marker was followed by a rousing second line and champagne toast.
