This annual event is something like a giant bar crawl, except with soup. The price of purchase ($20) is a one-of-a-kind bowl handcrafted by a local potter. Purchasers take their new bowl from shop to shop (participating merchants only) and get to sample scrumptious soups! This year's event was a complete sell-out, with more than 800 bowls sold.
The local potters get part of the sales, while the rest benefits the Hancock Food Pantry, Hancock Tourism and the Old Town Merchants Association (which puts on Second Saturdays and many other events through the year without any municipal funding).
