The eight elected officials for the city of Bay St. Louis were sworn into office in a public ceremony on Friday, June 30th, before a full house at the Community Hall. More info below.

Two councilmen are incumbents who have served previous terms - Doug Seal for Ward One and Jeff Reed for Ward 3. Councilman-at-Large, Mick Farve moved up to the mayor's office. Four council members will be serving for the first time - Gene Hoffman (Ward 2), Larry Smith (Ward 4), Buddy Zimmerman (Ward 5) and Josh DeSalvo (Ward 6). Gene Hoffman wasn't able to attend and was sworn in at the June 22nd council meeting.
The councilmen officially assumed their duties at 12:01AM, July 1st. Their first meeting as a new governing body will be July 5th. Comments are closed.
