• Fire Station (Main Street) 

Armoring Contract completed, entering closeout phase. Cost $4,515,517.00

• Parking Garage

Completed, in closeout. Warranty issues with landscaping watering system and A/C in electrical room. Cost $3,132,500.00

• Waterfront Improvements

In design phase; CORP permit approved. Waiting for engineer to complete plans for advertisement in the month of August for vehicular ramp.

Cost $2,800,000.00


ROUND II

• Community Hall

Building Complete. Rotary still resolving issues with stage lighting system. Cost $3,429,200.00

ROUND III

• Fire Station No. 2 (Hwy. 603)

Completed; dealing with warranty issues in closeout. Cost $1,752,000.00

Depot District Improvements
Completed, in closeout phase. Cost $1,160,886.00


LONG TERM RECOVERY

• City Hall – Debt Retirement & Improvements

In closeout. Cost $3,948,706, including debt retirement

• Senior Citizen Expansion

Completed, in closeout phase. Cost $914,400.00

• Athletic Complex Improvements

Complete, in FEMA closeout phase. Cost $893,488.00

• Boys & Girls Club Teen Center

In final phase of completion. Requesting temporary certificate of occupancy due to fire alarm system repairs.  Cost $680,200.00

• Water Tank Improvements

Completed, in closeout. Cost $452,172.00

• Longfellow Drive Improvements 

90% complete; 16” water line completed. Curbing completed. Asphalt base to be completed by August 4th. Hancock County water & sewer extension complete. Cost $2,633,450.00

• Washington Street Improvements

75% complete, in finishing stages of curbing, sidewalks and lighting, should be completed by end of July or mid-August. Cost $2,411,509.00

• Historic Train Depot Improvements

Completed, in final phases of closeout.  Cost $686,000.00

• Harbor Project

Design phase 80% complete. Cost $15,000,000.00


MISCELLANEOUS PROJECTS

• Dunbar Avenue Project (Raising)

Engineering Design plans under review by Board of Supervisors. Board also asked to advertise after plan review. 

• Old Spanish Trail Sidewalk and Lighting

Project on hold for match funding. Federal money is now available. City has to make actual cash match available to proceed with project.  Cost $491,362 (Federal Share) + $122,840 (match) = $614,202

• Main Street Project

Preliminary plans sent to MDOT for right-of-way review. Plan review 60% complete.  MDOT to reimburse 80% of project. Cost $1,093,000.00

Canal Dredging – Report being prepared by Seymour Engineering to be       submitted to DMR for funding within the month of August.



HAZARD MITIGATION PROJECTS

• Generators, Phase 3

Issued Purchase Order for purchase; Cost $151,800.00

• Outdoor Siren  Warning System

Issued Purchase Order for purchase.  Cost $64,005.00.  

• Hwy 90 & Bouslog Traffic Signal

In planning stages. Construction begins February 2012.
