Over the past 29 years, the monthly art walk has become one of the most popular events in the region. Old Town stays lively all day, with many merchants and restaurants offering specials. 

​The pace picks up from 4–7 pm, when gallery openings and live music keep the streets humming with activity. ​

February's Second Saturday Hot Spots are Mon Amie Boutique, 153 Main Street, and Dan B. Murphy's Restaurant and Bar, 109 South Beach Boulevard.

Owner Tonya Hamby says she wanted to open Mon Amie Boutique to address the shopping frustrations that she and many of her friends face: “Finding age-appropriate clothing that’s still stylish and affordable, while maintaining the standard of quality we expect as shoppers,” Hamby explains.
 

 
Mon Amie Boutique opened its brick-and-mortar store one year ago in the Bay St. Louis Depot District and recently moved into their new home at 153 Main Street. When you walk into the boutique’s spacious new location, you will be warmly welcomed by their helpful staff. The shop is elegantly staged, flowing through various rooms.
 

 
This small, woman-owned business takes pride in “personalizing your shopping experience – both in-person and online – by “customizing your fit and providing you affordable products and unmatched service from start to finish.” Mon Amie’s knowledgeable staff, stylish clothing, inclusive sizing and elegant atmosphere have done a wonderful job in eliminating those shopping struggles.

​Dan B. Murphy’s Restaurant & Bar

On Beach Boulevard in the heart of Old Town Bay St. Louis you will find the lively Dan B. Murphy’s Restaurant & Bar, locally known as Dan B’s.
 
This popular eatery and watering hole originally opened in 1981 but was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. After purchasing Dan B’s from his grandparents in 2005, third-generation owner Daniel Murphy resurrected the family restaurant, reopening in 2017.

Much different from the original structure, Dan B’s consists of three levels. You’ll find warm, family-friendly dining rooms on the second and third floors that also feature a expansive views of the harbor and bay.
 

 
On the first floor you will find an open layout that hosts the expansive main bar and stage area. The open-air environment allows passers-by a sneak peek into the party and offers a lively, welcoming atmosphere.
 
Dan B’s features a variety of weekly specials including a Steak Night every Thursday from 5 pm to 9 pm. The dinner includes a 12-14-ounce ribeye, baked potato and green beans for only $18.95. Dan B’s also hosts live music on Friday and Saturday nights 7-11 pm and Sundays 2-6 pm.
 

 
During this month’s Second Saturday, Dan B. Murphy’s Restaurant and Bar will serve breakfast 8-10:30 am, lunch and dinner from 11 am-9 pm, and offer live music from 7-11 pm sponsored by The Peoples Bank and The First.
