Talkative Trees Exhibit Comes to Ground Zero Museum
The Talkative Trees exhibit resulted from hours of work and preparation by Lindsey Taylor Henriques, WGZM’s social media and graphic design consultant. The exhibit “examines the role trees play as nature’s information capsules and allows visitors to begin to discover the stories they wish to tell.” |

You can also check out her featured interactive cookie sculpture, which uses data submitted by guests, translated as string, to continue building the sculpture. This unique piece essentially tells guests “how big you would be if you were a tree.”
Lindsey will be continuously posting updates on the process of the sculpture on her Instagram, @lindseytaylordesigns, and on her website, http://www.lindseytaylordesigns.com, as well as on WGZM’s Instagram, @WavelandGZM.
As part of the Talkative Trees exhibit, Lindsey Taylor Henriques herself will be at the museum on select days (with homemade cookies) to give visitors a special walkthrough of the exhibit.
This is another exhibit not to miss! It runs during regular museum hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 10 am-3 pm, through August 27.
For more information please visit the Waveland Ground Zero Museum.

Over the last several years, Coleman Avenue has become a premier venue for local festivals. Over the next few months, Coleman Avenue will be active with several special events.
The City of Waveland will host the Labor Day Street Fair and Fireworks on Sunday, September 4 (the Sunday of Labor Day weekend) on Coleman Avenue from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. For more details on this event, please contact brendamccomb77@yahoo.com.

This is a kid-friendly event. For more details, please visit Second Annual White Linen On Coleman Facebook page.
October 15 is the date for the inaugural Coleman Avenue Fall Fest event. This one-day event will feature artists, food, music and much more, providing the Waveland community with a fun, safe, family event. For more information about this event, please see the Coleman Avenue Fall Fest Facebook page.
Waveland Food Truck Friday
I hope to see everyone on Coleman Avenue on Friday, August 12, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm for Waveland Food Truck Friday. Traffic on Coleman Avenue will be closed in front of Studio Waveland to accommodate the food trucks and allow you to set up a canopy tent, table, and chairs if you choose.
