After the parade, the City of Waveland will host a gathering at the Waveland Town Green with hot chocolate, a visit from Santa, caroling, and plenty of joy to go around.
Waveland Grass Maintenance
In 2021, the City of Waveland struggled to keep up with cutting the right-of-ways and ditches in Waveland, thanks to higher than usual grass resulting from record amounts of rainfall during much of the year. Unfortunately, once the rain slowed down, several of the tractors tasked with cutting began to have mechanical issues.
The Mayor and Board of Alderman recognized that something needed to be done. Therefore, we decided to hire an outside company to do a one-time cut to all of Waveland, using its own equipment and workforce. The hope is that all right-of-ways will be cut before the start of 2022.
If this experiment of outsourcing grass cutting of right-of-ways is successful, I would like to explore permanently outsourcing this service.
