Destination Waveland -
Labor Day Weekend Edition For the past several years, Waveland has attempted to host a Destination Waveland event on July 4th with a fireworks display, but the pandemic folded those plans. Finally, it was decided that the Destination Waveland event in 2022 would be best held on Labor Day weekend. |

Destination Waveland will be on Sunday, September 4. The event will have at least one but possibly multiple musical acts. Vendors will be lining a section of Coleman Avenue for the Destination Waveland event. We hope the city can get an excellent 80s cover band or brass band to play at Destination Waveland, but the musical entertainment has not been finalized. The City of Waveland will be announcing the entertainment schedule and line-up in the coming weeks.
I hope to see everyone on Coleman Avenue on Friday, July 8, 5:00 - 8:00 pm for the next Waveland Food Truck Friday. Coleman Avenue will be closed to traffic in front of Studio Waveland to accommodate the food trucks and allow you to set up a canopy tent, table, and chairs if you choose.
Waveland Food Truck Friday has seven trucks scheduled to be at the event, so the food will not be as long. The food trucks that are expected to be at the event are Burger Box, Hall About Flava, L&S Concessions, Mama Red’s Grill, MeatBawls, Rolling Bayou, and Sober Living. We hope to see many of our friends and neighbors on Coleman Avenue on July 8!
