Waveland Alderman Jeremy Burke keeps us up to date on the Waveland St. Patrick's Day Parade, the Relay for Life Garage Sale and plans for another fireworks extravaganza party on the 4th of July weekend!
No Rain on THIS Parade!
Due to severe storms predicted on Saturday, the Waveland St. Patrick's Day parade has been rescheduled to Sunday, March 13th, start time NOON. See the map below for route! This year, the Waveland Civic Association’s St. Patrick’s Day parade will roll down Coleman Avenue for the 52nd time since it was established in 1964. The parade will include regionally famous Krewe of Shamrockers, The Queens, and the Raw Oyster Marching Club. Hope to see everyone lined up on Central Avenue and Coleman Avenue ready to catch beads, cups and cabbage! |

Waveland’s citizen support continues to grow each year, and we thank you for that!
Last year's July 4 event was such a success, Waveland will host another Independence Day community celebration. “Destination Waveland” will be held on Saturday, July 2, 5-9 p.m. The party will feature local favorite Category 6 and a large firework display to cap off this patriotic festivity.
Waveland needs your help to put on the exciting celebration, which will cost about $20,000. Sponsorships and community support is vital! The City of Waveland is currently setting up a funding mechanism so individuals and businesses can donate. I will post more details about this event when they become available.
