Waveland Veterans Parade Rescheduled
The Waveland Veteran Parade originally scheduled for this past Sunday will take place on Sunday, November 15, at 2 pm on Coleman Avenue, Waveland. For many years, brave men and women have served our country, making many sacrifices to protect our freedoms, and we want to honor and celebrate these men and women for their service and sacrifices. The reason the parade is on a Sunday is that we want all youth members of our community to have the opportunity to not only participate or attend the parade but to learn civic pride. |
What's Up, Waveland?

A contractor contracted by Waveland will begin to collecting Hurricane Zeta debris at the end of November.
Residents can begin stacking vegetative debris and other storm debris within five feet of the curb, off the street, away from drainage ditches, and five feet away from fire hydrants, street signs, mailboxes and parked cars.
When cleaning and clearing debris for pick-up, residents are asked to follow these guidelines:
- Separate vegetative debris (branches, leaves, etc.) from other debris (Construction and demolition debris like tile, carpet, drywall, trampolines).
- Do not place debris in bags.
- Pile smaller pieces of debris on top of larger pieces.
- Debris should be in pieces no larger than 12 feet in length.
- Place piles at least five feet from mailboxes, utility meters, sign posts and hydrants.
- Place piles no further than five feet from the road.
- Do not place debris piles directly under power lines.
- Try to consolidate piles with neighbors.
