The Eyes Have It - October 2020
|
This month we feature the work of artist Beverly Fitzsimmons, who for a year and a half lived aboard
the vessel Rubicon in the Bay St. Louis harbor.
Beverly talks about her work: Photography has helped me to slow down, pay attention and to notice the extraordinary in the ordinary. It feels rather meditative to me. I most enjoy being out before sunrise, when the day is fresh. It’s a treasure hunt and a magic show all at once. Most mornings I run along the beach in Bay Saint Louis or in the Harbor, pausing often to take pictures... enjoying the play of light and color as it kisses the water. |
